SeatGeek Nevada ticket fee settlement

SeatGeek has agreed to a $7,750,000 settlement of a Nevada lawsuit claiming that the full cost of an electronic ticket, fees included, was not shown before a buyer picked their tickets. If you bought electronic tickets to an event in Nevada through seatgeek.com or the SeatGeek app between November 7, 2020 and May 12, 2025, you may be eligible to file a claim, and the official page describes no receipt requirement. Payments are a pro rata share of the fund after fees and costs, worked out from the fees SeatGeek kept on your purchases, so no amount is promised. Claims close January 5, 2027, and filing on the official settlement site is free.

Expected

The notice gives no payment date. Distribution follows the final approval hearing set for January 12, 2027 and any appeals, so timing may slip.

Read off the official notice, in its own words. These dates slip — an appeal can move a distribution by a year or more — so treat it as the administrator's plan rather than a schedule.

Mars Carbonell v. SeatGeek, Inc. · 2:24-cv-02087-APG-NJK · U.S. District Court, District of Nevada

A payment is a pro rata share of what is left of the $7,750,000 fund, sized by the total fees SeatGeek kept on your qualifying purchases. Class counsel may ask the court for up to one third of the fund including costs, and a $5,000 service award to the class representative also comes out of it, so the amount actually shared out is smaller than the headline figure. The official page sets out no receipt or upload requirement for the claim form. Any figure is an estimate rather than a guarantee.

Eligibility questions

These questions help you decide whether to read the official notice. They are not a legal determination.

Did you buy electronic tickets to an event in Nevada from SeatGeek between November 7, 2020 and May 12, 2025?

The class is defined by where the event was held, not by where you live.

Did SeatGeek charge you fees on top of the ticket price for that purchase?

Payments are worked out from the fees SeatGeek kept, so a purchase with no fees adds nothing.

Did you already ask the court to exclude you from this settlement?

Anyone who opts out by December 6, 2026 gives up the payment.
