Apple Siri and Apple Intelligence advertising settlement

This settlement resolves claims that Apple advertised Siri and Apple Intelligence features that did not arrive on the phones it promoted them with. The class the court certified is US residents who bought an iPhone 16, 16e, 16 Plus, 16 Pro, 16 Pro Max, 15 Pro or 15 Pro Max in the United States for something other than resale between June 10, 2024 and March 29, 2025. The preliminary approval order sets a presumptive payment of $25 per eligible device, capped at $95 per device — estimates that move with the number of valid claims rather than a promised amount. Claims close December 21, 2026, the final approval hearing is February 24, 2027, and filing on the official settlement site is free.

Expected

The preliminary approval order schedules claim payments 60 days after the settlement's effective date, which cannot arrive before the February 24, 2027 final approval hearing and any appeals; settlement checks then have to be cashed within 120 days of disbursement.

Read off the official notice, in its own words. These dates slip — an appeal can move a distribution by a year or more — so treat it as the administrator's plan rather than a schedule.

Peter Landsheft, et al. v. Apple Inc. · 5:25-cv-02668-NW · U.S. District Court, Northern District of California

The court's order quotes the settlement agreement as giving claimants a presumptive payment of $25 per eligible device from the net settlement amount, with a per-device cap of $95. Those are estimates: the final figure depends on how many valid claims arrive, and the court told the parties to report back before paying if any class member's total would go over the cap. Apple was ordered to hand the administrator its class member records, and the claim form asks you to identify each device.
