Process — Four steps
How it works
This is a research guide, not a claims service. We keep a structured file of official state and federal unclaimed-money searches, FTC and CFPB refund programs, and public class-action settlements. A rules engine compares your answers to that file and ranks what may be worth reading. Every match is explained in plain language. Every claim itself is filed by you, on the official site, for free.
1. Browse the records, or answer the quiz
Open any record directly, or answer thirteen short questions. We ask only for coarse facts — states, companies, and rough years. Your answers are compared as you go and never stored: they stay in your own browser, and the match request is scored and thrown away.
2. Read a careful result
A record comes back as may be eligible, unclear, or probably not, alongside a ranked match list. This is a reading order, not a legal determination — every one of them still needs the official notice checked.
3. File on the official site
Open the official notice, read the real criteria, and file only if you believe you meet them. Filing is free. Submitting a claim you do not meet the criteria for can get it rejected and may carry legal consequences.
4. Then it is over to you
Your matches appear on the page with their official links and deadlines. There is nothing to buy, nothing to subscribe to, and no email to leave — bookmark what matters and file it yourself, free, on the official site.
What we will never do: connect to your inbox or bank, submit a claim on your behalf, or tell you that a payout is certain. Filing is free everywhere it is offered. Anyone charging you a filing fee has nothing to do with this site.
