Legal — The agreement
Terms
Short enough to actually read. By using this site, you agree to everything below.
01 — What this is
Money Owed To Me is a research guide that compares a short profile against public refund and settlement programs. It is not a law firm, a claims administrator, or a government agency, and it is not affiliated with MissingMoney, NAUPA, or any state treasurer.
02 — What you agree to
We are not your lawyer, and we never file a claim for you. You will submit a claim only if you believe you genuinely meet the official criteria, and you will rely on the official notice — not this site — when you certify anything.
03 — Nothing to buy, nothing to join
This site is free to use in full. There is no paid tier, no subscription, and no account — we do not ask for an email address and we do not keep your quiz answers. Official claims are free on the administrator or government site, and always were.
04 — Conflicts
If anything on this site conflicts with an official notice, settlement agreement, or government page, the official materials control.
05 — AI-assisted content
Some record summaries are drafted with AI assistance and checked against our compliance rules before it is shown; anything that fails those checks is replaced with our standard wording. Like everything here, it can still be wrong or out of date — verify against the official notice before you act.
06 — No warranty
This site is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that records are complete, current, or error-free, and past settlement outcomes do not guarantee future ones.
07 — Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, this site and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including missed deadlines or unpaid claims — arising from use of the site. Your remedy for dissatisfaction is to stop using it and rely on the official sources directly.
08 — Changes
These terms change as the site does. The version posted here is the one that applies, and it is the one to check if it matters to you.
