FTC Coaching Department Refunds

The FTC is mailing another 7,943 checks totaling over $252,000 to people who lost money to the business coaching scheme run under the names Coaching Department and Apply Knowledge and who cashed a previous check; earlier rounds in October 2019, June 2020, December 2021 and March 2023 returned more than $28.9 million. Checks arrive by mail with no claim form described, and you have 90 days to cash one. The FTC's page does not state a date range for affected purchases — the refund administrator can be reached at 1-844-982-1005. The FTC will not ask you to pay money to receive a refund.

There is no claim form for this one. The administrator pays consumers it has already identified, so the useful step is to make sure they can reach you — not to file anything. Anyone offering to file it for you, for a fee, is selling you nothing.
