Thermoflex fingerprint timeclock settlement
Thermoflex has agreed to a $9 million settlement of claims under the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act over finger-scanning timeclocks used by people working at its Illinois operations. If you performed work for Thermoflex in Illinois and used a finger-scanning device at any time between July 27, 2015 and September 3, 2020, you may be eligible; the settlement FAQ puts the gross payment at $1,532.18 and the net at roughly $900 after fees, costs and administration. Class members the administrator has already identified are paid automatically and file nothing, but anyone who was never sent a notice has to return a verification form by October 26, 2026. The court considers final approval on November 4, 2026, and using the official settlement site is free.
When the money moves
What the official materials say about the payment schedule for this settlement, and what the administrator has published since. Every figure below is linked to the page it was read from.
Expected
The FAQ says checks are issued roughly 30 days after the court's final approval order becomes final, following the November 4, 2026 hearing, and that every check expires 180 days after it is issued.
Read off the official notice, in its own words. These dates slip — an appeal can move a distribution by a year or more — so treat it as the administrator's plan rather than a schedule.
