IOD medical records fee settlement
This is the companion case to the HealthPort settlement and covers requests handled by IOD Incorporated. People who asked a Pennsylvania healthcare provider for copies of medical records between July 15, 2005 and September 3, 2012, and paid IOD the maximum basic, search-and-retrieval or per-page copying fees set by Pennsylvania law, may be eligible to recover 35 percent of what they paid. Patients, their representatives, and attorneys or insurers who requested records on their behalf are all covered. Claims close on November 30, 2026 and the online form opens with the Class Member ID from the mailed notice. Filing on the official settlement site is free, and the administrator decides each claim.

Expected
The final fairness hearing was set for October 16, 2026 while claims stay open until November 30, 2026, so no distribution date is published yet.
Read off the official notice, in its own words. These dates slip — an appeal can move a distribution by a year or more — so treat it as the administrator's plan rather than a schedule.

David M. Landay v. Datavant LLC, successor to IOD Incorporated · GD-09-012922 · Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County, Pennsylvania
The settlement returns 35 percent of the basic fees, search and retrieval fees and per-page copying charges a class member paid IOD on each qualifying request, so what a claim is worth depends on what that person was invoiced. The administrator works from IOD's own records, which are listed against your Class Member ID. No payout range is published.
