FTC Cleo AI Refunds
The FTC is sending 2,124,796 payments totaling more than $15.8 million to people who paid the Cleo AI cash advance app for instant or express advances that, the agency's case says, frequently arrived late or in far smaller amounts than promised. The FTC page states no date range for the advances it covers. If you paid Cleo AI an express fee for a fast advance, you may be eligible: payments start on October 27, 2026 and arrive through PayPal, and eligible people are emailed first from no-reply@consumersentinel.gov between October 8 and October 26, 2026. There is no claim form and nothing to file, accept a PayPal payment within 30 days, and the FTC never asks anyone to pay money to receive a refund.
There is no claim form for this one. The administrator pays consumers it has already identified, so the useful step is to make sure they can reach you — not to file anything. Anyone offering to file it for you, for a fee, is selling you nothing.

Expected
The FTC says it starts sending these PayPal payments on October 27, 2026, after emailing eligible people from no-reply@consumersentinel.gov between October 8 and October 26, 2026. A PayPal payment has to be accepted within 30 days of arriving.
Read off the official notice, in its own words. These dates slip — an appeal can move a distribution by a year or more — so treat it as the administrator's plan rather than a schedule.

Average payment — our estimate
$7.44
This is our own arithmetic from the figures on the official page, not a number the administrator published.
Our estimate: the more than $15.8 million the FTC reports, divided by the 2,124,796 payments it says it is sending — about $7.44 each. The FTC has published no average, and individual payments vary with what each person paid Cleo AI.
An average is not a forecast of any individual payment. Plans that pay pro rata, in tiers, or against documented losses produce amounts that vary enormously around it — many land well below the average, and some claims are paid nothing.

There is no claim form: the FTC pays from Cleo AI's own records, so amounts differ from person to person according to what each one paid. A PayPal payment that is not accepted within 30 days goes back to the FTC. Every figure here is an estimate rather than a promise, and the FTC never charges a fee to send a refund.
