FTC Aqua Finance Refunds
The FTC is sending 29,653 checks totaling more than $19.8 million to people who got a loan from Aqua Finance, the water treatment financing company whose door-to-door dealers the FTC says misled borrowers about loan terms and pressured them into signing documents they did not understand. Cash the check within 90 days. The FTC's page does not state a date range for eligible loans and describes no claim form, so call the refund administrator on 1-888-884-8509 to check whether you may be eligible. The FTC will not ask you to pay money to receive a refund.
There is no claim form for this one. The administrator pays consumers it has already identified, so the useful step is to make sure they can reach you — not to file anything. Anyone offering to file it for you, for a fee, is selling you nothing.
