Prehired income-share loan CFPB redress

Prehired sold a for-profit software-sales training program costing up to $30,000 and, the CFPB and eleven states alleged, told students the income-share financing behind it was not a loan while omitting the terms the Truth in Lending Act requires. The court's order shut the company down, voided its outstanding income-share loans and funded redress for former students. Distribution has been listed as ongoing since May 2025, and there is no claim form, so if you enrolled and paid you may be eligible without applying. Amounts are estimates rather than guarantees, and the administrator never charges to answer a question or send a check.

There is no claim form for this one. The administrator pays consumers it has already identified, so the useful step is to make sure they can reach you — not to file anything. Anyone offering to file it for you, for a fee, is selling you nothing.

CFPB, et al. v. Prehired, LLC, et al. · U.S. Bankruptcy Court, District of Delaware

The CFPB and eleven states announced more than $30 million in total relief, most of it from voiding outstanding income-share loans rather than from cash. The cash redress component is smaller and is divided by the administrator, so any individual amount is an estimate. Nothing is filed and nothing is charged.
