All American Check Cashing CFPB redress payments
The CFPB alleged that All American Check Cashing and Mid-State Finance hid the fees attached to their services, oversold the benefits of their high-cost payday loans, and failed to give refunds they had promised. The Bureau's administrator began mailing payments in July 2024 and the CFPB still lists the distribution as ongoing. There is no claim form and no deadline: if you borrowed from or cashed checks with either company you may be eligible, and the administrator identifies recipients from company records. Amounts are estimates that depend on the harm recorded for each person, and neither the CFPB nor its administrator charges anything at any stage.
There is no claim form for this one. The administrator pays consumers it has already identified, so the useful step is to make sure they can reach you — not to file anything. Anyone offering to file it for you, for a fee, is selling you nothing.
