Becton Dickinson SEC Fair Fund for BDX investors

The SEC is distributing a $175,000,000 Fair Fund to investors who bought or acquired Becton, Dickinson and Company common stock (BDX) between February 5, 2019 and February 5, 2020, the period the Commission's order covers. If you held BDX in that window you may be eligible, but the fund administrator decides every claim: a claim form has to reach JND Legal Administration by December 13, 2026, with broker confirmations or account statements documenting the trades. Payments are pro rata and the plan pays nothing where a calculated share works out below $20. Filing on the official Fair Fund site is free.

Expected

The approved plan names no payment date. The fund administrator reviews claims after the December 13, 2026 bar date, sends each claimant a determination notice, and pays only once the Commission authorizes the disbursement.

Read off the official notice, in its own words. These dates slip — an appeal can move a distribution by a year or more — so treat it as the administrator's plan rather than a schedule.

Payments are pro rata: if the fund is smaller than the total recognized losses of all eligible claimants, every claim is scaled down. The plan also sets a $20.00 minimum, so a calculated share below that is not paid at all and the money goes to other claimants. Every figure here is an estimate rather than a promise, and filing on the official Fair Fund site costs nothing.

Eligibility questions

These questions help you decide whether to read the official notice. They are not a legal determination.

Did you buy or acquire Becton, Dickinson and Company (BDX) common stock between February 5, 2019 and February 5, 2020?
Do you still have broker confirmations or account statements covering those BDX trades?

The claim form asks for documentation of each purchase, sale and holding in the period.

Were you an officer, director or employee of Becton Dickinson connected to the conduct described in the SEC order?

The plan lists those people as excluded parties.
