Money Owed To Me

FTC refund program · Closed — deadline passed

This claim window has closed. The deadline we have on file is June 5, 2025. Check the official page before spending time on this record — deadlines are sometimes extended, and where the official notice disagrees with this page, the notice is right.

FTC Avast Settlement

The FTC is sending 103,152 payments totaling nearly $15.3 million to people who bought Avast antivirus software and filed a valid claim before the June 5, 2025 deadline, which has now passed. Each person gets the payment type they picked during the claims process — cash a check within 90 days, accept a PayPal payment within 30, while Zelle payments land directly in your bank account. The FTC's page does not state a date range for qualifying purchases and says all available funds have been distributed; questions go to the refund administrator on 1-866-290-0165. The FTC will not ask you to pay money to receive a refund.

There is no claim form for this one. The administrator pays consumers it has already identified, so the useful step is to make sure they can reach you — not to file anything. Anyone offering to file it for you, for a fee, is selling you nothing.
