AirBit Club Victim Fund (Justice Department remission)

The Justice Department is compensating victims of the AirBit Club cryptocurrency investment fraud out of roughly $150 million in forfeited assets. If you invested your own money in AirBit Club between September 2015 and August 2020 and were still holding an investment when the scheme collapsed, you may be eligible to file a petition for remission; U.S. citizenship and residency are not required. Losses are counted as cash in minus cash out and payments are pro rata, so no amount is promised. Petitions are due December 11, 2026, and neither the Justice Department nor its administrator charges anything to take part.

Losses are worked out as cash in minus cash out, with fictitious profits excluded; anyone who withdrew more than they put in recovers nothing. Cash investments need bank statements, cancelled checks or wire records, and virtual-currency investments need wallet ownership and transaction details. If approved petitions exceed the fund, everyone receives the same percentage of their loss, so any figure is an estimate rather than a guarantee.
