Sportsman's Guide firearm order privacy settlement
The Sportsman's Guide has agreed to a settlement of up to $1,015,000 over claims that it passed details of Pennsylvania residents' online firearm orders to third parties without consent. The notice, the settlement website and the claim form describe the class as everyone living in Pennsylvania who ordered or reserved a firearm on sportsmansguide.com between January 11, 2021 and July 7, 2026, and if that describes you, you may be eligible. The court's order and the settlement agreement start the class period earlier, on July 1, 2020, so ask the administrator if your order falls between those two dates. A valid claim pays up to $145, reduced pro rata if enough people file. No receipt is asked for, but the online form opens only with the LoginID and PIN from the notice; the paper form can be mailed or emailed without them. Claims are due by 11:59 p.m. Eastern on October 5, 2026, and filing on the official settlement site is free.

The maximum fund is $1,015,000, out of which payments, notice, administration, attorneys' fees and a service award are all paid. A valid claim pays up to $145, cut pro rata if enough people claim, so treat $145 as a ceiling and an estimate rather than a fixed amount.
