NCUA unclaimed deposits from closed credit unions
If a federally insured credit union was liquidated, NCUA may be holding unclaimed share accounts. Confirm the credit union was liquidated, review the official unclaimed-deposits list, then send the member verification form only to NCUA. After the insurance period, leftover shares may be paid pro rata.
