FTC MyScore Refunds
The FTC is sending 42,849 checks totaling nearly $1.9 million to people charged for credit monitoring from MyScore, eFreeScore.com, CreditUpdates.com, FreeCreditNation.com and Credit Bureau Center LLC, which ran fake rental listings and told would-be renters to get a "free" credit report that quietly signed them up for a monthly subscription. Cash the check within 90 days. The FTC's page does not state a date range for affected customers, so call the refund administrator at 1-844-804-5464 to check. The FTC will not ask you to pay money to receive a refund.
There is no claim form for this one. The administrator pays consumers it has already identified, so the useful step is to make sure they can reach you — not to file anything. Anyone offering to file it for you, for a fee, is selling you nothing.
