FTC Mission Hills Federal Refunds

The FTC is sending 10,138 checks totaling more than $627,000 to people who lost money to the student loan debt relief scheme known as Mission Hills Federal, Federal Direct Group, National Secure Processing, and The Student Loan Group. This second round goes to people who cashed their first check and paid the defendants more than $430, after the March 2024 payments returned more than $3.4 million. The FTC's page does not state a date range — cash any check within 90 days and call the refund administrator on 1-844-566-0108 with questions. The FTC will not ask you to pay money to receive a refund.

There is no claim form for this one. The administrator pays consumers it has already identified, so the useful step is to make sure they can reach you — not to file anything. Anyone offering to file it for you, for a fee, is selling you nothing.
