FTC Lifewatch Refunds

The FTC is sending 19,125 checks totaling more than $277,000 to people who were charged for supposedly free Lifewatch in-home medical alert systems sold through robocalls, after rounds in December 2021 and September 2023 returned more than $1.4 million. This round goes to people who cashed the second check; cash a new check within 90 days. The FTC's page does not state a date range for affected customers, so call the administrator on 1-866-484-1466 to check. The FTC will not ask you to pay money to receive a refund.

There is no claim form for this one. The administrator pays consumers it has already identified, so the useful step is to make sure they can reach you — not to file anything. Anyone offering to file it for you, for a fee, is selling you nothing.
