FTC First American Payment Systems Settlement

Payment here is not automatic: businesses must apply, and the FTC says it is currently reviewing claims. Your business may be eligible if it was enrolled with First American Payment Systems between June 2017 and April 2020 and was charged an early termination fee; the FTC mailed Claim IDs to eligible businesses, and claims are filed by phone with the administrator on 1-877-595-0114. In February 2025 the FTC sent 5,588 checks totaling more than $2.6 million to affected businesses, drawn from the $4.9 million the company paid to settle, and checks should be cashed within 90 days. The FTC will not ask you to pay money to receive a refund.

There is no claim form for this one. The administrator pays consumers it has already identified, so the useful step is to make sure they can reach you — not to file anything. Anyone offering to file it for you, for a fee, is selling you nothing.
