FTC AMG Services Refunds
The FTC and the Justice Department are mailing a second round of checks to more than 690,000 people who were overcharged on online payday loans from Scott Tucker, AMG Services and related companies. The round totals more than $152 million and goes to people who cashed their first check, which was mailed in September 2018 and returned more than $382 million. Cash the check within 90 days; the FTC's page does not state a date range for the affected loans, so call 1-866-730-8147 to check. The FTC will not ask you to pay money to receive a refund.
There is no claim form for this one. The administrator pays consumers it has already identified, so the useful step is to make sure they can reach you — not to file anything. Anyone offering to file it for you, for a fee, is selling you nothing.
