Finastra data breach settlement

Finastra Technology agreed to a $3,125,000 settlement over an October 2024 data incident that the notice says may have exposed names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers and financial account numbers. The class is everyone living in the United States whom Finastra notified, so if you received one of those letters you may be eligible. Claims close November 27, 2026, and the options are up to $2,500 for documented losses with receipts, or a pro rata cash payment with no documents, plus a year of monitoring with $1 million of fraud insurance — all estimates rather than fixed amounts. The online form needs the LoginID and PIN from the notice, a paper form does not, and filing on the official site is free.

When the money moves

What the official materials say about the payment schedule for this settlement, and what the administrator has published since. Every figure below is linked to the page it was read from.

Expected

The FAQ says benefits are distributed after the court grants final approval, set for a hearing on December 14, 2026, and after any appeals are resolved. An appeal can move that by a year or more.

Read off the official notice, in its own words. These dates slip — an appeal can move a distribution by a year or more — so treat it as the administrator's plan rather than a schedule.

Tina Parsley Hughes, et al. v. Finastra Technology, Inc. · CACE26013154 · Circuit Court for Broward County, Florida

Documented out-of-pocket losses from the breach, incurred between October 31, 2024 and November 27, 2026, are reimbursed up to $2,500 with third-party proof such as receipts or bank statements — personal notes are not enough. Without documented losses you can take a pro rata share of what remains of the $3,125,000 fund, an amount not yet published. A year of CyEx monitoring with $1 million of fraud insurance is also available. These are estimates, not guarantees. The online form needs the LoginID and PIN from the notice; a paper form does not. Filing is free.

Where the settlement fund goes

A $3,125,000 settlement fund, out of which attorneys' fees, costs, service awards, notice and administration expenses and the documented-loss payments are met before the pro rata cash payments are calculated.

Why this case happened

Finastra, a financial technology vendor, told affected people that an October 2024 incident may have exposed names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers and financial account numbers. The company denies wrongdoing and no court decided the claims.

Eligibility questions

These questions help you decide whether to read the official notice. They are not a legal determination.

Did Finastra send you a notice saying your personal information may have been involved in its October 2024 data incident?
Do you have receipts or bank statements for money you lost because of the breach between October 31, 2024 and November 27, 2026?

Without them you can still take the pro rata cash payment instead.
