Brevard Skin & Cancer Center data breach settlement

Brevard Skin & Cancer Center has settled a class action over a targeted cyberattack on its computer systems in September 2025. The class is living US residents who were sent notice that their private information may have been involved, so if that letter reached you, you may be eligible. The claim form offers a flat $45 with no receipts, or up to $2,500 for documented out-of-pocket losses, and a year of medical identity monitoring either way. Claims close November 16, 2026, the final approval hearing is set for November 30, 2026, and filing on the official settlement site is free.

Expected

The notice says payments are distributed only if the court grants final approval at the November 30, 2026 hearing and after any appeals are resolved.

Read off the official notice, in its own words. These dates slip — an appeal can move a distribution by a year or more — so treat it as the administrator's plan rather than a schedule.

Two cash options, one or the other: a flat $45 that needs no receipts, or up to $2,500 for documented out-of-pocket losses dated between September 28, 2025 and November 16, 2026. One year of CyEx Medical Shield Complete monitoring, which the notice says carries $1 million of medical identity theft insurance, comes with either. The online form asks for the Login ID and PIN from the mailed notice; the administrator will re-send those by email, and a printable form can be mailed instead. The notice gives no fund total and neither figure is guaranteed.

Eligibility questions

These questions help you decide whether to read the official notice. They are not a legal determination.

Were you sent notice that your information may have been involved in the September 2025 Brevard Skin & Cancer Center incident?

The class covers living US residents who were sent that notice.

Do you have receipts or bank statements for money you spent because of that breach?

Receipts lead to the larger option; the flat $45 needs none.
